Spider-Man Wanna-be

So Chase is really into coloring on his hands to make webs like Spider-Man.  Well, the other day he took it a few steps further and made himself a mask and "boots" to complete the look.  Thank goodness he knows which markers are the permanent ones and which he can color with.  He insisted that I couldn't wash it off and we went to Bryce's basketball game that night looking like "Spider-Man".

Notice the marker underneath his foot!

Let It Snow!

St. Louis got hit with the most snow I've seen since we moved here.  All the schools shut down (which here really doesn't take much)

and the kids had a blast playing in it all afternoon.

Yum, Snow!

They were sledding down the slide

I Love this picture!

For Love of the Game

The kid is a complete nut!  Landon has had so much fun during his first basketball season.

He has made a lot of  new friends and lets just say is didn't take him long to love playing the game.

I think it's safe to assume this is what my life is going to consist of for the next 10+ years.

I wish the picture was a little better through the blog, but you'll get the point.

You'll also need to pause the music at the top of the blog while you view the video :)

Landon's First Basketball Game

These are some pics of Landon's first basketball game. He did awesome for his first game ever. He made 4 baskets and played really good defense. He's on the same team as a lot of his friends from school which makes it really fun.

Snowmass Colorado

It has long been a tradition in the Dickinson family to ski at Snowmass Colorado. This year both of my kids got to go. It was a first for Chase and both did ski school for two days. The boys did great and both got to ride the lift. This is a great family vacation and we all had a blast. The snow was the best I had ever seen and hopefully we'll get to go with my family again in the next few years.

Visit to the Kawa's

Chase, Landon, Paige, & Barrett

We were lucky enough to get to see our good friends, the Kawa's, a few times during our stay in Utah.

My kids really miss having them being so close to us and so do I.

Chase and Kate's First Time on Skiis

My dad, my brother Keith, and I decided to take Chase and Kate skiing for the first time. We drove up to Sundance, rented the gear and walked up to the rope-tow. The first few minutes left you wondering if this was going to be a waste of time, but they quickly got the hang of it. Keith spooked Kate a little be letting go so she insisted she "needed a rest" for the remainder of the time.
It was a great time, but I think the kids enjoyed the hot chocolate and giant cookies more than anything else.

The Haslem Heard of Grandkids

For Gradma Josh this year we got all of the Haslem Grandkids together for a group picture that she could proudly display in her home. All of the kids did great, the picture turned out awesome, and it only took 5 min!

Merry Christmas!

This is a house in my dad's neighborhood. I wish you could see everything, this picture doesn't do the house justice.

Christmas

Christmas is a very busy time in our family.
Between the three grandparents households,
Papa Tom celebrating on Christmas Eve,
and every thing else going on during the holidays
we are non-stop for about 3 full days.
Our kids open presents for two days straight, but they're not complaining.
I love when it is all done and we can just relax and hang out with the fam.

Neil Young's Biggest Fan

Anyone who knows my dad knows that he is a huge Neil Young Fan. So what do you get the guy who has everything for Christmas? Well, we got him an autographed picture of Neil young with the original vinyl album. The pictures say it all.

Santa Clause is Coming to Town

Santa made an appearance at the Dickinson house hold this year. Every child sat on his lap with no hesitation or crying. We even managed to get 12 year old Caden to participate, what a good sport.

Landon's Christmas Program

While we were in Utah we enrolled Landon in school at Cherry Hill while we were there. These are pics of his Christmas Program.

The FIrst Big Snow

This was the first of many snowstorms during our time in Utah. Landon and Chase had so much fun playing football with Bryce.
